New DVDs

POV


Thanks to a grant from Civic Family Services, The Beekley Community Library will add over 25 new documentary DVDs to its collection. The new DVDs will include titles from series such as POV (Point of View) from PBS, Eyewitness children’s DVDs from Dorling Kindersley, The Blue Planet, and Ken Burns’ America Collection.

A list of DVDs added with the funding from this grant will be available soon.

The BookFriends of the Licia & Mason Beekley Community Library granted a request to the Library to replace many of its children’s video tapes with DVDs. As circulation of DVDs is quickly surpassing that of VHS tapes and space is becoming more limited, the Library has been replacing many of its VHS format movies with DVDs. This funding has allowed the Library to replace over 50 of its juvenile VHS tapes with DVDs.
