The Beekley Library is pleased to announce the posting of a spring StoryWalk in the New Hartford business district. When Spring Comes, by Kevin Henkes, will delight young and old alike as they stroll and read a beautifully written and illustrated book welcoming the signs of nature we are all awaiting. The StoryWalk begins at the western edge of the business district (Edward Jones and Petricone building) and ends at Barden Farm Store. Take a walk and read a book!
What is a StoryWalk? A StoryWalk is a self-guided strolling and reading experience for kids of all ages. Pages of a book are mounted on posters and displayed in order so that participants can follow the page numbers and read the story as they stroll. The StoryWalk concept was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
