The New Hartford StoryWalk takes place each July to honor Lee Tangarone, a long time resident and civic leader, who passed away in 2012. It is constructed by Lee's granddaughter, Corrin Tangarone, with support from Lee's neighbor, Fran Stoffer.

Join us in the children's garden to celebrate the birthday of everyone's favorite wizard! There will be Harry Potter-themed snacks, games, and trivia with opportunities to earn prizes. We'll be playing The Sorcerer's Stone inside in the children's room for those who may need a break from the heat. Costumes encouraged!
Miss Jan will show us how to make robots out of recycled materials! This workshop will highlight the idea of reusing items rather than sending them off to the recycling center! Using items that we might typically toss in the garbage or send off to be recycled, we will create our own robots in a Makerspace experience. There will be some items available to use, but children are invited to bring their own items from home! Ideas might include boxes, tubes, bottle caps, bottles and more!

Join Miss Jan for a Nature Storytime based on the classic tale "Stone Soup". The story tells of some travelers who are hungry, but have no food. Using their creative problem solving skills, they convince the local people to collaborate and create a delicious community pot of soup! Join us as we create our own pretend pot of soup and enjoy a community "meal"!
