Welcome to The Beekley Library's Children's Room!


​In our children’s room you will find a nurturing environment that encourages your child to explore the world in their own way through literature, dramatic play, art, music, movement and nature.  

Come visit us to go on an adventure through a great book, put on a puppet show. be the next great train conductor at the train table, sing and dance your way through storytime. 

Enjoy a wide array of children's programs: from drumming to felting, live animal visits, movies and magic shows, to fairy house building, gardening and tie dying and everything in-between.

Chess Club!

Join the Chess Club! Chess Club will take place the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. All levels of player are welcome, whether you just want to learn or are looking to hone your skills. Please register in advance and email [email protected] for more information.

LEGO Club

Join us for LEGO club! This month, we will be making LEGO castles. This event is for children aged 5-11; preschoolers must wait until their fifth birthday to participate.

We will learn to appreciate the creatures in the ground, especially worms! This will
include a child’s version of our library-wide STEM Worm Farm Program.

Kids' Drop-In Seed Planting

10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (all day)

Come into the library and plant some seeds! Some will be for our community garden, but participants can take one plant home.

a Picture, Or Use Our Coloring Sheets

Stop by the Beekley to create a masterpiece! The Children’s Room tables will be filled with supplies so you can create a treasure to display in your room ... or just explore your imagination. School supplies, along with an array of arts and crafts supplies, will be provided to use while in the library. Feel free to “color outside of the lines.” You can bring your art home or we will display it right here at the library!
